North Carolina Project Lifesaver
North Carolina Project Lifesaver is a member of the North Carolina Association of Rescue and EMS. NCPL works specifically with special needs children, the elderly and elderly individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. NCPL utilizes equipment from Care Trak International to ensure the safety of individuals that have the potential to wander.
We are a non-profit 501C agency made up of paid and volunteer staff members who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our members are located throughout North Carolina and are dedicated professionals with the focus on protecting our clients, your staff, and your residents.
North Carolina Project Lifesaver is dedicated to providing services that ensure the safety and well being of the individuals it serves and providing proper training. NCPL provides statewide service for individuals through our counties-helping-counties task force. NCPL specializes in Assisted Living and Long Term Care Facilities of North Carolina.
NCPL under the leadership Chief Greg Pratt, developed the NC Project Lifesaver Program and continues to provide dependable and professional services fo Assisted Living and Long Term Care Facilities as well as Special Needs Children and Adults.
Our focus encompasses the safety of assisted living residents by providing up-to-date and complete training for all staff of contracted facilities. This includes:
* Keeping them aware of all current state laws and statutes
* How to reduce incidents of wandering or missing residents
* What to do if a resident is missing
* How NCPL can provide assistance in the search for missing
residents with use of our K-9 team, specialized task force and
state of the art tracking equipment
NCPL have 4 aircraft available, 24 hours a day, but have only had to use them twice for the search of a missing Care Trak individual. Through education of families and facility staff, almost all searches can be ended within 30 minutes with a positive outcome. Thus, avoiding costly and unnecessary expenses.
